User Centered Design Event Planning Prototype
This project exemplifies a user-centric design methodology, where the end-user was integrally involved throughout the entire development process to help shape the final prototype. By placing the needs, preferences, and perspectives of the target audience at the forefront, I was able to create a solution that is tailored to their specific requirements and pain points. This user-centered approach ensures that the end product closely aligns with the users' goals, behaviors, and expectations, leading to a more meaningful and impactful outcome.
The non-profit organization, 33 Forever, is dedicated to raising awareness, empowering, and providing comfort to those struggling with mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, low self-worth, and suicidal ideation. In order to support their mission and annual fundraising event, the design team implemented a user-centered design (UCD) framework. This holistic approach involved collaborating closely with the end-users, which in this case encompassed the 33 Forever team, and volunteers. By deeply understanding their needs, pain points, and desired outcomes, the design team was able to develop a robust standard operating procedure and protocol for the production of the fundraising event. The resulting solution allows the event to be seamlessly executed by a team of volunteers, while still maintaining the high level of production quality and brand identity that 33 Forever has become known for. This user centered design process ensures that the final product effectively addresses the specific requirements and challenges faced by the organization and its stakeholders.
